Aircrafts is a resource to an airline as in any other industry. But in this case the value of the resource is more concentrated and needs constant upkeep to sustain their value. When repairs and service are performed on an aircraft they are often stored in aircraft hangars. The reasons for this is are both for security measures and weather protection since they contain sensitive equipment. Well inside the hangars there is also the risk of fire due to fuel leaks and other hazardous substances.
